KULTURA DYAD 〰️

We’re back from HIATUS with our newest project!

Applications are live for PROSE IN HARLEM: a live event featuring vendors, live curated performances, music, mingling & a cash bar should you decide on a cocktail, or a mocktail to enjoy the show with! Lastly, our show wouldn’t be complete without of course, OPEN MIC!

Prose in Harlem is going to be at a new location in HARLEM! Thanks to The Harlem Agora for housing our new event.

As ever, we believe in creating a safe space for creatives and others alike. We honor you as you are. Kultura Dyad will always be a safe space, wherever we are. While our shows are always welcoming to everyone, we do not tolerate racism, or violence. Zero tolerance.

As a safe space for both our readers and our attendees, we ask that you please be mindful that you may encounter themes that may be triggering, or may make you uncomfortable to engage with.

July’s Night of Poetry! Ticket Sales Have Now Concluded.

As with all of our programs, Night of Poetry will continue to empower BIPOC-LGBTQ artists and writers on the iconic Minton's stage. We purposefully select writers who we feel truly embody a voice that we think needs to be heard.

The curated lineup will perform their collection of works, which will be followed by an Open Mic session that will allow the audience to perform and feel apart of the show. Open Mic sign up at the venue only, and we will raffle off a gift to a special open mic performer! Don’t miss out!

To continue keeping our communities safe, we will be requiring vaccine proof! With growing concerns, we will be requiring masking indoors, unless eating or drinking. We thank you for your understanding!

Keeping our programming accessible, there is Tier-Ticketing. Pay What You Wish: starts at $5+, General Admission: $15, Top Tier: $25 with priority (close to stage) seating!

Online ticket sales end at 6PM, July 26th. Tickets sold at the door will be $25. So don’t wait!

We’re looking forward to seeing you all, and welcoming you back to the wonderful evening of poetry and live performances.

Ticket sales have no concluded.

We thank you all immensely for your continued support of our programming

Cantemos desde el pecho de la Ceiba: Elegía para un antes y después. A program at The Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center on Day Five of the Vera List Center Forum 2021, where artist Jorge González hosts this event in collaboration with artist Monica Rodriguez (La Germinal), Kultura Dyad. González leads a reading and listening session that proclaims an Indigenous, queer, and feminist future with a focus on the writings of Puerto Rican anarchist and feminist writer Luisa Capetillo. Images from the programming are found below.

Kultura Dyad helped envision and facilitate this program with friend and colleague, Jorge. Kultura Dyad hosted an open mic session to continue to open a path for queer, indigenous, black, brown and POC creative life. We honored our ancestors by burning sage, and praying for their guidance and protection.
